It has got so many songs that talk about dreams, loneliness.. the sort that makes you just want to grab a hot cup of tea and relax with. Some of my favorites are "Dreams" by The Cranberries, O'Connor's "I Guess The Lord Must Be In New York City", and "Anyone At All" performed by Carole King. I've always loved Nilsson's "Remember"; the all time classic favorite "Over The Rainbow". A very great collection. And yes, "You've Got Mail" IS one of my favorite movies of all time. But recently, while watching it for the upteenth time, I realized that ONE of the reasons that I enjoyed it so much was BECAUSE of the music.This soundtrack is THE BEST! It has such an ecclectric range of music. There are a lot of 50's tune and even one with Louis Armstrong! My FAVORITE is, "The Puppy Song." However, it also features songs by Harry Nilsson, The Cranberries, Jimmy Durante, Carole King, Roy Orbison, Stevie Wonder and more. It has been YEARS since I first saw the movie and I have just gotten around to getting the soundtrack. After listening to it, I keep asking - "What took me so long???!" Also - this CD features the soundtrack that has all the cute words to the songs featured in the movie. Everytime I hear "Dreams" by the Cranberries, I instantly hear Kathleen Kelly's monologue over the top about what she feels when she receives her email from NY152. A must hve. |
