Album Description

Explicit Version. Terminate on Sight is the second studio album from the Rap group G-Unit, a Hip Hop group originating from New York City. G-Unit emerged on the New York scene by independently releasing several mixtapes. The name of the group is short for "Guerilla Unit" as well as "Gangsta Unit".

Summary: This album is horrible.. this is your warning 2008-11-20
Comment: I listened to this CD because I was a G-unit fan once upon a time. I also enjoy 50's music so i figured this CD could not be too bad. Well, the problem is that I was very wrong because there is not one decent track on this CD. This is filled with songs that made me want to terminate myself. Most of this CD is filled with Banks and Yayo doing hooks that had no appeal to them and no replay value. This is because these two have never been good at putting songs together. The topics include guns, money and killing people (as they usually do) and 50 has very little material on here. Buck appears on about two verses which is nothing special. This should be the last Unit album, but I know for sure that I am no longer a fan because this one belongs in the trash bin. Anyone who is a real fan of hip hop would tell you this. This would make Big turn in his grave to hear this garbage CD. Sorry, wish I could give it a 0.It is one of the worst CDs ever put together.

Summary: Lacks real quality 2008-11-07
Comment: G-unit is done with. There are a couple decent tracks on this, but I think money has changed all of G-unit. There is not the hunger there that was there when the put out Beg for Mercy. 50 has fallen off, hopefully his new album will be better than Curtis. As for Tony Yayo, he ruins some good songs with his off beat rap. If you like 50 I would check this out, otherwise don't waste your time.

Summary: Same old, same old 2008-10-08
Comment: It seems to me that G Unit just wanted to squeeze a little more cash out of its name before everyone forgets about it and only sees them as solo artists. This CD is simply not good at all. It sounds like they just had some extra tracks left over from other projects, so they threw them onto a CD to make some cash.

Some people may like this CD if they're just looking for hardcore music with mediocre beats and no real point. It's like an action move that has nothing going for it besides action -- no plot, mediocre acting, etc. I think "Piano Man" is a pretty good song, but that's the only one I put on my iPod, pretty sad since there are 16 tracks here.

I like Lloyd Banks and I have high hopes for 50's next CD, even though "Curtis" was pretty disappointing. I also liked G Unit's first CD. But this one may be buried at the bottom of my CD case for good. There's too much good stuff out there to waste my time on "T.O.S."

Comment: I could go on about how 50 used to be nice on the mic(back in the How To Rob days) or how Banks used to kill it on the early G-unit mixtapes or how Tony Yayo used to bust a decent verse once in a blue moon but it makes no sense to do that now. On the advent of Game's departure and Young Buck being dropped from the group(I dont care what coast you're from.... we all got agree that 50 made a big mistake right there), G-unit only had one thing to do: prove that they can still stay afloat after all this. Unfortuantely this is not the album that is going to do it. Straight Outta Southside is the best track on the album and it pretty much goes downhill after that. A lot of the beats here suck as well as the hooks. Both 50 and Banks rhymes are phoned in and even the Yayo's rhymes are trash, for some strange reason, he is the only one(out of the remaining members) who has a presense on the mic on this album. Young Buck appears on a few songs and brings some heat but even he cant save this album from being garbage. Piano Man, Rider Pt 2, Close To Me, Party Aint Over, Let It Go, You So Tough stink lyrically and production wise. The title track is flat out weak and anyone bumpin I Like The Way She Do It and Kitty Kat in their whips needs to be slapped senseless. Both of those tracks are straight garbage. Ready Or Not has some decent bars by Lloyd Banks but Yayo and 50 both bring the track down. Money Make The World Go Round has a nice beat but the track suck lyrically.
Bottom Line: Terminate On Sight is even worse than Beg For Mercy(at least that album had five passable tracks). The beats are weak and the rhymes are telegraphed in. Its safe to say that G-unit is on the downslide and this album will get them on the fast track to obscurity a lot quicker than they expected. Two thumbs all the way down
Standouts: STRAIGHT OUTTA SOUTHSIDE.
