Product Review

The year is 1967 and Vietnam is in the midst of a civil war involving many nations and taking countless lives. When Joon, a young Korean soldier at the end of his tour, falls in love with Linh, a beautiful Vietnamese singer, their lives are forever altered in this bittersweet tale of love, faith, and redemption.

It's with great pleasure and excitement that we present this concept recording of Tears of Heaven. We have been blessed in that the project has attracted some of the best (and our favorite) Broadway singers who have lent their talents to this endeavor. This recording features the stars of many Broadway shows, including Linda Eder (Jekyll & Hyde), Rob Evan (Jekyll & Hyde, Les Miserables, Tarzan), Christiane Noll (Jekyll & Hyde, Ragtime), James Barbour (Beauty & The Beast, Jane Eyre, Tale of Two Cities), Michael Lanning (The Civil War), Laura Osnes (Grease, Anything Goes, Bonnie & Clyde), Jackie Burns (Wicked), and the list goes on! We hope you will open your hearts to us again with Tears of Heaven. Enjoy!

Wow! What an amazing score and incredible group of singers. I guess this play was written for an Asian audience but I would love to see it in NYC. Wildhorn at his absolute best with beautiful emotional lyrics. Great stuff!

So glad to see that Linda Eder is back singing songs by former husband Frank Wildhorn. Her voice and his music are "magic" together. The rest of the cast is very good too, but Linda Eder alone is worth double the price of this CD.

I just keep listening to this album over and over again. I have been waiting forever for two things--1. for more of Frank's work to become available on CD/MP3 and 2. for Frank to work with Linda Eder again. I have not been disappointed, what with Linda Eder's album Now, the Dracula concept recording, and now Tears from Heaven.

Frank Wildhorn truly has the ability to write song melodies like almost no one else; like the songs of Paul Gordon and Stephen Schwartz, each of Frank's songs on this album is a gem in itself. In contrast to many Broadway-style composers where maybe only one or two songs are worth remembering, almost all of the songs on this album draw you in, deepen your knowledge of the characters, and capitalize on every artistic strength of the performer. With only one exception, (i.e. "The First Time I saw Paris"), all of the songs on this album weave a great story even without the dialogue. Frank Wildhorn and Jeremy Roberts know how to crank out a great concept...Read more
