This review is from: STARS ON 45 - GREATEST HITS [ 2CD ][IMPORT][DIGIPACK] (Audio CD) For TRUE Stars On 45 Fans you will LOVE this CD. If you owned Star on Long Play Albums Volume I, II, & III like I do, this as close as you will get to getting all those hits you loved. Stars on Long Play Album Comparison: The first side of the original Stars on Long Play Album was the extended Beatles Medley. The first song on this CD is that medley plus one extra Beatles song in there, which made it better for me. If you are looking for the exact 45 version of the Stars on 45 Beatles, it is track 8 (Disc 1) on this CD, but is not exactly as released then. I was fortunate to find that version on a 80's compilation disc I own. On the flip side of the original album was 3 different medley of oldies. There is something like that for the 1st Medley on the original album on track 6 (Disc 2) which is incorporated with the 12" Beatles Mix. It is if they mixed the Beatle's 45 Version and the Medley together. I especially liked the Beatles (2 versions) and the Rolling Stones tracks. Great music for nostalgic dance parties too. These are hard to find in the used record stores so grab it while you can. The only downside was the wing music medley - not my taste and it went on for too long to keep me interested. Just click the skip button. |
