Summary: Kiner is Not a Clone 2008-11-22
Comment: Composer Kevin Kiner acknowledges the past, but forges ahead in this new era for the franchise. With the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, Kiner ambitiously presents a solid soundtrack that spans 32 tracks and clocks in at nearly 70 minutes.
The Star Wars Movie Theme & A Galaxy Divided is a gaze to the incredible legacy of the Star Wars universe, but the craft then focuses on Asian-styled motifs, with longer tracks like Battle of Christophsis, Sneaking Under The Shield and B'omarr Monastery building intriguing soundscapes. The pair of numbers - General Loathsom/Battle Strategy, Ahsoka - creatively tell a story.
End Credits places the finishing touches on a foundation that has been set musically to explore fascinating avenues as the animated series moves forward.

Summary: Altought it's not John Williams, this is a refreshing cd with your favorite SW tunes 2008-11-04
Comment: When I went to see the new SW animated motion picture, I was afraid of the music, because for the first time a star wars film on screen will be witouth John Williams, but I really was delighted after the first 5 minutes. It's a brand new music with tunes from the classic trilogy, and it's a great work of Kevin Kiner (which honestly I haven't heard any of his previous work before) I think that Mr. Kiner captured the essence of the music and bring all new rythms to our favorite galaxy. One of my favorites Jabba's Palace that mix arabic music with orchestra. If you are a fan you will not be dissapointed. I'm a fan of Williams's music, but Kevin Kiner's work definitely will be the lyrics of the Clone Wars.

Summary: The Force of Music 2008-09-13
Comment: Kevin Kiner has created powerful new themes for this movie, and his use of percussion, especially drums, instantly takes you into another world where good faces evil. I am always in search of music that touches your heart, but that can be listened to after the movie to let your imagination soar. This music does just that with its rhythms, themes, and emotional impact. He creates more of an alien feel with some of his orchastrations, and in track 11, B'omarr Monastery, monks can be heard in the background. For me, music is half of a movie, and this music enhanses this movie beautifully and stands alone as well. Enjoy!

Summary: Different, but great! 2008-09-13
Comment: I'm a big fan of John Williams, and when I heard this, I knew I would be in for a few surprises. They were great surprises! Although this is different from what Star Wars fans have heard before, there are still traces of the original scores in this music, along with a few new surprises! I love this soundtrack, and reccommend it to other Star Wars fans!
