Summary: EXCELLENT!!!! 2008-06-11
Comment: Where di I start!? The music is awsome, filling two great disks. The soundtrack starts with the Fox fanfare and ends with the music from the throne room and the credits. The case includes a 3-D picture on the outside and a regular one on the inside. The regular one unfolds into a beautiful poster and on the back are photos. The music includes the songs played in the cantina scene and the theme that plays when Luke looks into the sunset. I think that every fan of Star Wars should own this soundtrack.

Summary: Great Album 2008-04-29
Comment: Perhaps my review isn't necessary, seeing as there are already so many good ones. Oh well.
Anyway, I've really enjoyed this album, partly for the music quality, and I admit, partly for nostalgia. I seriously listened to "Cantina Band" five times in a row. Hahaha
The album is a two disk (at least for me it was) and includes an extra track not in the movies (I think) that is called "Binary Sunset (Alternate)" and is by "Various Artists". I'm sorry I can't be more informative about it. While it doesn't sound very similar to John Williams' typical Star Wars sound, it can pass as a Star Wars tune, and is a pretty good track, though definately does not fit the bill for the binary sunset scene at all. Incidentally, I have heard this track played as background music in the video game Empire At War, particularly when you're in a swamp-like planet such as Nal Hutta or Degobah, and there aren't any immediate threats around. I think it fits in that case quite well, to be honest.

Perhaps it should be mentioned that George Lucas is a fan of the old black-and-white films with musical scores and no vocalized dialog. Which, perhaps, explains why Star Wars is so famous for it's special effects and music. I would greatly like to watch the films with just the soundtracks playing and all other noises muted someday.

John Williams is a very, very accomplished composer and I highly recommend him to almost anyone as such.

Summary: Star Wars Soundtrack... It is what it is 2008-01-02
Comment: I purchased this soundtrack simply to record a couple of tracks from it. Not really into classical music, therefore it is what it is.

Summary: Star Wars IV Soundtrack- AWESOME 2008-01-01
Comment: This CD is a great reminder of each scene of this great Star Wars movie. When you hear each track you know which scene it was from and what was going to happen next. If you are a real Star Wars nut, then this CD is for you, my son has not stopped playing it since he opened the packaging in came in.
The sound quality is great, the photo book is awesome and it came with a prism collectors card. I totally recommend this CD if you are looking to relive this Star Wars movie while in your car or home.
