I purchased "Smallville: Vol. 2 - Metropolis Mix" on a whim. I've been a huge fan of the show since I bought the Season One DVD a few months ago, and one of the things I love the most about the show is the music. I was unfamiliar with most of the songs on this album, but hey - it was Smallville, so I decided to pick it up.
The album gets off to a good start with Breaking Benjamin's "Forget It", an unspectacular but likable song. Depeche Mode's new hit "Precious" follows. It's a good song that gets old after a while. The next track, "You and Me (Wedding Version)" by Lifehouse, is one of the highlights of the album. I love Lifehouse, and "You and Me" is one of their best songs.
Stereophonics' "Superman" - the second song with that title to appear on "Smallville" - is one of my favorite songs on the album. The next song, The All-American Rejects' "Dirty Little Secret", is a fine song despite being overplayed on the radio. Josh Kelley's "Almost Honest" is a...Read more

First of all, I love the show Smallville, although that is not the only reason I love this mix. It's got a great variety of songs, from Stereophonics "Superman" to Lifehouse's "You and Me." Some highlights in my opinion are "Precious" by Depeche Mode and "Forget It" by Breaking Benjamin.
Forget It - The way I see it, this is one of the most beautiful songs ever on Smallville, and maybe even of all time. I know you're probably thinking, "Yeah, so what, eveyone says that," but take this for some proof that it is an excellent song: I am known for getting sick of songs fast, and I mean fast. So when I listened to this song 378 times and it is the most played song on my iPod, so it must be something VERY special and unique. The way the song builds is purely genius. It is simply beautiful.
Precious - What can I say, Depeche Mode has done it again. This songs has a romantic, gloomy and unique sound to it, yet I can't imagine getting tired of it. It reminds me a...Read more

The second volume of hits added to the Smallville soundtrack is quite a delight!
Whether you like the smooth rhythm of Depeche Mode rendering "Precious", the deeply romantic "You and Me" from Lifehouse, the bouncing fun of The All-American Rejects in "Dirty Little Secret" or the soulful "Hungry Heart" from Minnie Driver, this soundtrack has it all and more!
Don't miss it!
