Seriously funny,

I did feel a bit gypped when I paid the regular price for this half-hour CD, but for anyone who saw the movie and even moderately enjoyed it, it's a must-buy. With the dialogue included, it can even function as a kind of poor man's DVD.
One star for Little Green Bag. I never realized how good this song was until I heard it in full.
One star for Blue Swede's Hooked on a Feeling, which, although it only plays for a second in the movie, is a great song.
One star for the way Steve Wright pronounces 'Bohemiath.' It's worth buying it just for this. I'm serious.
One star for the Madonna Speech, and Lawrence Tierney muttering: "Chu...Toby Chu?"
One star for the way Steve Wright says: "...and Edison Lighthouse's...Love Grows...Where My Rosemary Goes."
The Coconut song and Stuck in the Middle With You are also great. The only thing I missed was any part of the dialogue which begins with Steve Buscemi saying: "How come _I_ gotta...Read more

A funky, good mix,

Same goes for Reservoir Dogs as with Pulp Fiction--if you liked the movie, chances are, you'll enjoy the soundtrack. There are a few dialogue choices I would have added from the movie (such as why Mr. Pink doesn't tip, and why he has to be Mr. Pink anyway) that would have made it even better, but the Madonna speech and "Let's Get a Taco" added some sick humor to the mix. I, for one, will never be able to listen to "Like a Virgin" without thinking of Mr. Brown's interpretation of its meaning... It's an eclectic mix on this soundtrack, but that seems to be the norm for a Tarantino film. From honky-tonk country ("Fool for Love"), to funk ("I Gotcha"), to just some fun-loving '70s ("Stuck in the Middle With You"), the songs on here wouldn't normally be ones you'd find together on an album, but seem to work well here, as they did in the movie. Most songs on the album were in pivotal parts of the movie as well. It might not be a...Read more

GREAT...with a few problems,

I loved the movie, so I decided I had to get the soundtrack. When I first saw the CD I was suprised at how few songs there were, and that is one of its flaws(the running time is just over 30 min.); its other flaw is Magic Carpet Ride: great song, terrible rendition. Too bad the Stephenwolf version couldn't of been on the CD. Anyway, I give it 4 stars due to how excellent the majority of the songs are, but I slightly recommend the Pulp Fiction soundtrack which has zero flaws. Still its good, but short.
