MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE SONDTRACK CD,
December 5, 2000 By A Customer
This review is from: Northern Exposure: Music From The Television Series (1990-95 Television Series) (Audio CD)
If you ever wished you could tap into Chris Steven's record collection at KBHR, here's your chance. This is a fantastic blend of eclectic music that just seems to work together seamlessly. I love every single track on this CD. It will definately bring back fond memories of the series (still my favorite TV series of all time). Even if you are not a die hard "Exposure" fan, you will absolutely love this great mix of classical, jazz, rock, and world music.

There are (were) two CD's made from this wonderful show. This was the first. For those who miss Enya's Ebudae , it is on the second CD. These were 'out of print' for quite a while, so hopefully the second CD will make a comeback too! Both of them are delightful!! If you truly love the show, you can remember when most of the tracks appeared (like the "When I grow to old to dream" (when Maggie gives Chris back his voice <grin>). I do agree with Lisa Wallis, though, and would love to hear more! The music was such an integral part of the show (it was LOUSY at the beginning, but became another cast member somewhere along the way)!

It's like finding yourself in Cicely, Alaska!,

I bought this cd because I'm a serious fan of Northern Exposure and because listening to the music from the show reminds me of all the characters, storylines, and the general feeling of amazement and joy I got from watching the show. Every song is quirky and upbeat, just like the citizens of Cicely. Whether it's the awesome instrumentation on David Schwartz's "Theme from Northern Exposure" that opened the show each week or the country rock beats of Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Gimme Three Steps", each song is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. If you love Northern Exposure buy this cd and allow your ears to take a trip to Cicely, Alaska. Your entire soul will thank you!
