I have other Totoro albums, I love the character, but this CD is the one that is the actual music from the film. It is just great. The Japanese melodies are more apparent than in the film. It is sort of a jazz album with a Japanese twist. I recommend it, and it is definitely worth the price,

AS the previous reviewer said, it is definitely worth the price! Hauntingly beautiful and peaceful music. My two year old son loves the movie, and even more so the music. We listen to it as we play, and he will tell me which song goes with which scene of the movie ("this is when Mae takes a nap on Totoro!"; "this is when Mae finds the acorn!"). If you love the movie, this is the soundtrack to buy!

This CD is perfect. Every song from the movie, in order, is featured on this CD. They're all in Japanese, of course, and the CD is a great way to take the story with you anywhere without having to be in front of a television.
