Cable has done some wonderful things for American television--challenging dramas that are too extreme for the networks get made, actors get to stretch their talents, and there's always South Park. But cable's also responsible for constant reruns of Z-grade movies, has-been and never-was stars, and, er, South Park. Striding the fine line is La Femme Nikita, a hit on the USA network, that wants to play in the big leagues (The X-Files, Ally McBeal, Melrose Place) by releasing its own soundtrack. Unfortunately, most of the acts here are either has-beens or never-weres, and few of the more familiar names stretch out to do anything truly interesting or new (even Mark Snow's theme pales in comparison to the one he did for The X-Files). Morphine are as moodily moving as ever, Fluke and Keoki contribute nice dance-floor numbers, and Curve's "Chinese Burn" rocks as hard as it did the first time it was released--on their Come Clean album. --Randy Silver

Summary: A Perfect Companion for the TV Series 2008-12-28
Comment: I love the show and the music was a big part of the Nikita series. I purchased this CD several years ago and still listen to it.
This CD introduced me to a couple of my favorite bands: Depeche Mode and Morcheeba.
I recommend this soundtrack for any Nikita fan and for any of you that enjoy alternative, electronica, or trip hop music.

Summary: LAFEMME NIKITA SOUNDTRACK FROM TV SERIES 2008-10-14
Comment: I LOVE THIS SOUNDTRACK LIKE I DID THE TV SHOW. ONLY PROBLEM IS THE MUSIC IS ONLY FROM THE FIRST & SECOND SEASON. I MISS ALOT OF THE SONGS FROM THE REMAINING SEASONS.

Summary: La Femme music 2008-06-12
Comment: I think that this compilation is great. My hope is that they would come out with another album with more La Femme music. There were so many good interludes that weren't covered, especially the opening scene to the last episode of season 3, where Michael and Nikita met in the hallway. This was an intensely intimate scene with the background song, "Strange Effect" by Hooverphonic.

Summary: Editoral Review is nonsense 2007-07-31
Comment: I haven't listened to this entire soundtrack. But I was compelled by the editorial review to write my own response. Something I have NEVER before done on Amazon. I am particularly enraged by the statement "Unfortunately, most of the acts here are either has-beens or never-weres, ..."
How you can say this, and continue in the rest of your post to TOTALLY ignore the fact that Enigma is on the album, and who, incidentally, is neither a "never was" or a "has been" is TOTALLY beyond me.
Idiotic review IMO.

Summary: quite pleased 2007-07-13
Comment: As an avid enjoyer of Le Femme Nikita I was very pleased with the second series cod set. Only one CD was a bit unviewable (partially) but overall I was pleased. I find it hard to complain about such an exciting and plot twisting series such as Nikita. I love it. I only wish it would have continued. I see Alias has tried to capture the same kind of audience but it just does not come close..No one can compare to Peta Wilson and no one is as unscrupulous as Section One.
