Comment: This is a great soundtrack from a great movie. It was good to get a CD copy of it for my collection.

Comment: The main theme is very haunting and brought back many pleasant memories although at the time the second world war had started when I first saw the movie. I heard the music on Classic FM and it reminded me of those memories and I just had to get the CD which I eventually traced and Amazon found in the USA. WELL DONE and thank you.

Comment: Due to the source material, yes, the sound quality is comparatively poor, but it's still quite enjoyable.
As a soundtrack, I'll admit that Tara's theme (and a couple others) are amazingly unforgettable, but I'm not sure the entire soundtrack works as cohesively as I would have liked. Nevertheless, the album is a solid purchase if you want to hear all the main cues from the film.

Gone With The Wind: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
From the opening Main title theme you are reliving the film through the music. A lovely disc which anyone who loved the film would want to have.
It does not have the overture, entracte or exit music but I suspect that in the original recording it was not included in the film but was added later.
I highly recommend this recording
