Summary: Great Empire 2001-03-18
Comment: Don't buy this album because it has "Star Wars" in the title, it's not related to the trilogy at all. Buy it because it's Alec Empire at the top of his game. No one else mixes ambient techno with the super-fast and hard noise he's known for. This is great stuff, but be forwarned, it's an aquired taste. Personally, I think you should start with Empire's more recent "The Destroyer" and work your way back to this. Also, if you like the hard stuff, check out Atari Teenage Riot's "Burn, Berlin, Burn" where you'll hear more of Empire's signature sound.
