Summary: Fantastic Soundtrack for Final Fantasy Fans 2009-01-04
Comment: This soundtrack was the very first of the Final Fantasy soundtracks I have listened to. Although I was hoping for more of a classical sound this soundtrack got me into listening to more stuff from the series. I played Final Fantasy 7 about ten or so years ago and never thought about finding the soundtrack. I recently watched Advent Children and it reminded me of how great the music was and is. The music for the movie is more upbeat and the new version of One Winged Angel has a lot of energy to it but fits the movie perfectly at the scene when its played. I have had this soundtrack for about a year or so and I still have my favorites off of it. The composer is very talented and his work is always good and I find myself looking for more of his stuff. This is a great soundtrack for fans of Final Fantasy and is far by one of my favorites of all time from the series. I don't know how people who aren't fans will like the soundtrack but overall its fantastic for those of us who love the series.

Summary: A PHENOMENAL SOUNDTRACK 9.75 OUT OF 10 2008-03-02
Comment: The movie was absolutely amazing, and this soundtrack proves to be no different. The musical compositions you loved about the movie are all here in this soundtrack. It feels like a mix of an orchestral scores and rock music. The music you loved from the Playstation game is here, but vastly improved. The music was done by Nobuo Uematsu; the guy who did the music for many Final Fantasy titles, the Chrono series, Blue Dragon, and Lost Odyssey so you know it's going to be damn good. The music compositions can be very beautiful and melodic, and then simultaneously change to a great hard rock type of music without ruining the overall feel to it. The music can be very soft, very loud, very fast, and its just flatout awesome as any soundtrack should be. This music has a very high quality to it, to the point of where it could be done for a big-budget Hollywood movie it's so damn good. But I think its rightful place is in games. I can't help but question how Square Enix is making quality music for its game without Nobuo Uematsu, because he left the company with the creator of Final Fantasy and the Chrono series. If you dislike most soundtracks to movies this one will definitely change your mind when you listen to it because it's fantastic. Hell, I've even burned the entire soundtrack onto my Xbox 360 it's so good.
