Summary: This is a GREAT soundtrack 2004-05-04
Comment: This is an AMAZING show. From the instant it started it had me involved just from the opening music numbers. While watching it seemed to me like a cross between Rent (for mostly content) and Footloose (for the music and especially the dancing). The CD is Phenominal. The cast really does put a HUGE effort into their singing and the characters truely show thorough everything they do. Everyone should listen to this soundtrack. It keeps me happy and my toes tapping all day long!

Summary: WONDERFUL 2004-04-17
Comment: I have seen this show, and I love it. Nothing is as good as seeing Fame live, but the CD is still amazing. The actors are wonderful, and the songs are beautiful. I escpecially love Sara Schmidt in "Let's Play a Love Scene." Everyone should go see Fame and then buy the CD!

Summary: Great Vocal Cast 2004-04-15
Comment: FAME on 42nd street, despite some issues with the direction, is a nice rendition of the show. This CD is definitely the best one to date (of the stage productions). Most of the cast have great voices. The number on the CD best sung, delivered, and consistant is Q Smith's INCREDIBLE rendition of "Mabel's Prayer" sung with ease, power, and great vocal strength. If anything purchase this CD for THAT stunning performance.
