Disappointed in one tiny little detail,

The soundtrack is beautiful. Yes a bit of rehash for some pieces from Series 5 with some extra instruments thrown in but a lot of good new tracks. River's music is beautiful. The music really does stir up good emotions while scaring the crap out of you sometimes when you are in the right mindset.
I am most MOST disappointed however, in the fact that Murray Gold still has not released a piece of music that was in This series and series 4 from Midnight and Almost People and A Good Man Goes to War. It is a soft harpy piece that follows up to a piano piece that just sends chills down everyones spines.
It seems as though it SHOULD be in the Almost People Suite since the music I am most looking for is playing when The Doctor and Co. are outside the press conference room. and before Amy has birth pains.
In Midnight it plays when The Doctor gets back to Donna Noble and they speak about what happened.
Please if anyone knows how or where to find this...Read more

Murray Gold blends multiple styles into one with Doctor Who, and his lush grand orchestrations done with flair make for an enticing listen. Some cues have epic cinematic scopes and since he is such a melodic composer we always have some sort of tune to grasp onto. This isn't bland background scoring and every moment has a gathered momentum heading somewhere. There is always an element of wry humor behind the music in certain areas, and he knows when to play off it or pull back. The music can be romantic and at times even "cartoony", but the experience...Read more

this is an amazing soundtrack and must for doctor who lovers. we start off with the music from the impossible astronaut and day of the moon which has a 60's american scifi feel to it and takes up the first half of the first disc with brilliant music by murray, disc two contains the second half of the series with music such as tick tock goes the clock even for the doctor an amazing creepy piece that fit perfectly with the episode night terrors. if you're a doctor whovian you must get this soundtrack to complete the set of doctor who soundtracks you have from previous years, trust me i have them all. murray has a way of making each series of music a perfect compilation to the shows adventures and emotions of that series. buy the music and love it and hopefully with a bit of luck murray will keep making who even more amazing with the soundtracks to the most amazing scifi series ever to air.
