They all celebrate the holidays on Christmas in the Stars: Star Wars Christmas Album. With memorable tunes such as "What Can You Get a Wookiee for Christmas (When He Already Owns a Comb?)" and C-3PO's retelling ofa sci-fi infused "'Twas the Night Before Christmas," the album is a quirky addition to any holiday music collection. In fact, the record was so sought after by collectors, that in 1996 Rhino records and Lucasfilm, Ltd. decided to re-release Christmas in the Stars for eager fans. This review is from: Christmas In The Stars: Star Wars Christmas Album (Audio CD) When I was little, we had a CD of the Muppets singing Christmas carols with the late John Denver. It was my all-time favorite Christmas music - until now. When I discovered Christmas in the Stars on Amazon, I was reminded of how great that Muppets CD was. I immediately purchased the album, and I was not disappointed. Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) leads a chorus of droids, working for S. Claus, in hilarious songs of their thoughts about Christmas. The songs are compacted into a continuous story, during which we learn what to get a Wookie for Christmas, and how to teach a droid to sing. This is a perfect addition to Star Wars and Christmas album collections. 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful: By A Customer This review is from: Christmas In The Stars: Star Wars Christmas Album (Audio CD) If you like the silly songs of Christmas (Grandma got run over by a reindeer, I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus, etc.) and you are a Star Wars fan, you'll love this. I've had the cassette for years and it's now a MUST at Christmas. I'm getting the CD now so I can have it in perpetuity. |
