German? Guess it's the Austrian Cast Recording ;D,

Well, I have to admit that, being Austrian and having the Austrian Cast Recording I'm pretty sure that this is the Austrian and NOT the German Cast. Having said that - the Austrian Cast is stunning, the translation much better than the German one I'd say, since it's more free and sounds more natural. Steve Barton played Munkustrap and what a singer! I must say that, apart from the Original London Recording, this is the BEST! ;D

This CD is wonderful if you're looking for CATS in different languages. The highlight of this CD would have to be the version of Mister Mistoffelees, it's great. Instead of the normal "Oh, Well, I never was..." it goes "Abra Kadabra...". If you're looking for a nice recording of CATS, get this one.

This album is the Austrian recording, not the German.
The singers have great voices, especially Buenaventura Braunstein (Rumpleteazer) and Ute Lemper (Bombalurina). The Austrian recording is really good, so if you're a CATS fan, you should certainly buy it!
