I was shopping for CDs a few nights ago and this one caught my eye. I have no clue why I didn't buy it when it first came out! This CD is a collection of some of the biggest dance anthems ever.1) Haddaway "What Is Love" - Some people bought the CD for this one song. This is the song that originally made the Roxbury guys famous (Or maybe the other way around). You cannot go wrong!2) Bamboo "Bamboogie" - This is actually a KC & The Sunshine Band song that was reworked and renamed. It actually sounds pretty good, and fits the album well.3) Robi Rob's Club World "Make That Money" - The first time you listen to this, you'll say "What the heck?" It grows on you really fast though, and it's actually one of my faves on the CD.4) Cyndi Lauper "Disco Inferno" - Although you would think this would sound out of place, it doesn't. This album is a great addition to any collection as far as I'm concerned. I saw the film at a mates house at New Year's Eve and the music really adds to it. Big Time. There are a few songs that are in the film that weren't included on the album but the songs that are on it are designed to get ya up and dancing. It's great music for the car and good music is always good, no matter how old it may be.I think the best songs on the album are:What is Love (7" Mix) - Haddaway, Insomnia (Moster Mix) - Faithless, Where do you Go (Ocean Drive Mix) - No MercyAll three of these feature prominently on the film and are very damn appropriate if ya ask me and the others ain't exactly the worst collection of songs you'll find.My conclusion about the album is that it makes very few concessions about what it is. It's fun, entertaining music, despite it's age. If you want an album you can just have fun listening and dancing to then look no further. My advice to...Read more
